27-10-2006, 12.02 noon

She heard his cry.
Her eyes welled up in tears.
She took a moment,
to collect herself, to understand what has just been said to her, and
…to breathe.

Breathe in. Out.
Breathe in. Out.
BREATHE IN.

And then…
She jumped for joy!
Literally.

She couldn’t help it.
She was too happy.

Then…she held him for the first time.
She looked down at his face,
his beautiful small eyes, cute little button nose with his small mouth gaping at her,
“What a handsome boy,” she thought to herself.
And she savored every moment with him.

Then, she bent, kissed his rosy cheeks,
…and whispered, “What took you so long?”
Again, she kissed him, this time on his cute ‘lil forehead.
And she tells him that her heart is filled with nothing but love for him.

Now that he has entered her life, she cannot imagine a life without him.
She thank God for bringing him safely into this world.
And she thank God for watching over her sister.

Watching him, holding him…
She prays that he will grow up to be a good and honorable man.
A beautiful person, both inside and out.
She prays that everything will be okay,
that he will be okay.

“Aunty Suri loves you.
Come home soon.”
